To be honest, I'm a shy girl who dares not express myself in English. Sometimes I found myself in a situation where I
wanted to say something but couldn't think of the appropriate words and phrases to express my true feelings. Last semeter, we also had the same Advanced Speaking English Class. I mustered up courage to speak English as much as possible, but I still wasn't quite satisfied with myself. Last week when I took the fist speaking English class in this semester, I found you a very responsible and passionate teacher. As I am going to take TOEFL on 7th,June, I hope to improve my oral English with your help and also by my own labor.

And I also hold some expectations about this class. I hope this class can pay attention to daily communication, as well as some easily-understanding academic knowledge. And some introduction of the culture in foreign coutries will be fun, too. What's more, I hope you give us opportunities as much as possible to talk to each other and practice our oral English.

Shyness can be an advantage

Thank you for sharing your opinion on this course and helping me see your needs. Being shy (if not too shy) is not a disadvantage. On the contrary, it can help you improve your performance because it gives you a little stress and makes you more aware of your accuracy. However, if you think it spoils your performance, you must do something. We are going to talk about it in our next class. :)
